The 8th Edition of the Rallye des Îles du Soleil: A Successful Crossing for Bali Catamarans
The 8th edition of the Rallye des Îles du Soleil, created in 2017, came to an end in Marie-Galante after its traditional two-leg route between the Canary Islands and Marie-Galante, with a stopover in Cape Verde, covering more than 3,000 nautical miles. This year, 18 crews took the start and enjoyed a supervised, safe and friendly transatlantic crossing.

Bali Catamarans: Present and Performing
Once again, Bali Catamarans were well represented within the fleet, with several emblematic models from the shipyard — yachts renowned for their unique living volume, long-range autonomy, structural rigidity, and onboard comfort, all essential advantages on a long ocean passage.
Among the participants was the BALI 4.6 “Liberty B&B”, carrying a crew of five passionate sailors — Keven, Élisabeth, Amélie, Stéphane, and Camille — who set out to fulfill a shared dream: crossing the Atlantic under sail. Their diverse backgrounds, from entrepreneurship to healthcare, racing, or cruising in the Lesser Antilles, shaped a cohesive and complementary team.
This united group perfectly embodies the spirit of the rally: a human adventure built on sharing, learning and personal achievement.
A Remarkable Edition with Strong Performances
This edition was also highlighted by the strong performances of the Bali models:
- the BALI 4.5 M Liberta, which crossed the finish line in 4th place after 14 days, 21 hours and 10 minutes at sea,
- and the BALI 4.6, finishing 6th overall out of 18 crews, with a crossing time of 14 days, 22 hours and 20 minutes.
Also noteworthy is the excellent performance of Piment Rouge, a Catana OC from the Catana Group, which earned a shared first-place victory, confirming the reliability and dynamism of the group’s brands — including Bali Catamarans.
